For over 35 years, I've been exploring the experience of being a body, first through the precision of Iyengar yoga, then deepening into the world of somatics and Authentic Movement.

My work weaves together principles from Linda Hartley’s Integrative Bodywork & Movement Therapy (IBMT), BodyMind Centering®, and the Feldenkrais Method®. What does this mean for you? A practice that honours attention to detail, and where slowing down and paying attention to your movement - whatever it looks like - has the potential for profound insight.

I have come to understand my body as an ongoing enquiry, and movement an expressive modality for processing what lives in my tissues, my feelings, and my imagination. As an educator with decades of embodied practice and a forthcoming author with North Atlantic Books, I share this approach with you through workshops, professional training, and writing.

Writing & Books

I'm an author, exploring the intersections of embodiment practices, philosophy, psychology, ecology, and lived experience.

My book Bodyscapes will be published by North Atlantic Books in autumn 2026 - a deep exploration of the body’s inner terrains through the lens of experiential anatomy, somatic practices, myth, and metaphor.

I also write regularly at Field Notes From The Body, my Substack publication where I share essays and reflections on embodied living, somatic practice, and the questions that arise when we truly inhabit our bodies. I publish a free monthly edition, and then a follow-up for paid subscribers containing, guided practices, personal resources and journaling prompts.

My published work includes:

Contributing author, The Fluid Nature of Being (ed. Linda Hartley) - an essay the somatic exploration of embryology.

Contributing author, The Yoga Teachers Survival Guide (ed. Theo Wildcroft and Harriet McAttee - an essay on the study or experiential anatomy.

Co-author with Theo Wildcroft: Leading Safe & Simple Yoganidra (forthcoming August 2026).
